Cayuga Ducks
Cayuga Ducks have spectacular greenish black plumage, which makes the adults one of the most beautiful of all poultry displays. They are the most popular exhibition breed in the Medium Weight Duck Class. They have long been recognized as one of the hardiest of all domesticated ducks and are active rustlers and foragers.

Origin: The Cayuga duck was developed in the Finger Lakes region of New York around 1840. It is named after Lake Cayuga and the indigenous Cayuga people of the area.

Appearance: This medium-sized breed features glossy black plumage with an iridescent green sheen. Over time, older birds may develop white mottling. Drakes (males) typically weigh around 8 lbs, while ducks (females) weigh about 7 lbs.
